Hi all family
I have known Steve from early days of cricket in the Newcastle district. When we had the family part of our cricket club the values of this wonderful man started in roads in my life which I was unaware of at the time. I have always regarded Steve as my second father and when I needed sound advice I would turn to Him which at the time was quiet often. Dining with Steve was a feast he provided more than enough to last a week.
Only after I moved away from Newcastle did I realise what impact God had in my life but how he used Steve to be an example for me to learn about myself in ways I never thought possible. What really got to me when I urged for what he had in Christ and the seed was planted so deep in me I can use the term I can taste it. I returned to Newcastle and we met up and I explained what impact he not only had on me as a person but as a son whom felt loved without condition.
Steve we will miss you but only for a short while and your attributes will always be near my heart as you were one of the few who really knew me and for that I am proud to say that.
You are Steve the man whom God used to provide me in the correct choices.
To the family we will all be strong in our faith till we all meet again.
