OBITUARY

Stephen Francis was born on the 4 January 1949.
He lived in Asherville and schooled at Sastri College. He was an avid cricketer and soccer player and all-round sportsman. He was very devoted to his family, community and Hindu faith. He then accepted the salvation of the Lord Jesus Christ in 1972 and faithfully gave his life to the service.

He began ministering that same year.
He married Jennifer in 1973 and moved to Newcastle in 1974 to continue the work of God and started a church.
In 1979, Pastor Steve left denominationalism and became independent by accepting the revelation of the Word in the Message preached by bro William Branham. Pastor Steve began the new church in a small rented building in Boundary Road. Many years later the church moved to a larger hall on the upper floor of Asham Center in Lennoxton.

In 2003, he bought the church in Ebony Street.
He faithfully preached the Gospel and served the church and community of Newcastle counseling and enriching the lives of people of all races and religions.
He served the community of Newcastle for many years in guiding, coaching and managing cricket for youth and young men.

In all the years of his ministry, he has travelled to almost every continent, to many countries, teaching the Word of God and, as he would always say, sharing “how the candle was lit in his life.”
His life in this earthly journey ended on 24th July 2021.

He leaves behind by his wife, Jennifer, his daughter Jacintha, his sons Allistair, Liam and Stephen, their spouses, 10 grandchildren,his beloved Spoken Word Fellowship of Newcastle, 2 younger sisters, many nieces and nephews, dear friends and an army of brothers and sisters in Christ across the globe.
