To the beloved Francis Family
It’s a task that is impossible for me to write in words the relationship we had this short space of time with Brother Steven Francis.
However, I will try to give a condensed tribute, as there will be hundreds of tributes coming from all over the world. We as a family from Pretoria are saddened deep in our hearts at the passing on of our dear brother. In this short time that we have known him, we experienced something very special and unique about him that drew us to him. We have seen and experienced that he not only preached and taught the Spoken Word, he lived the Spoken Word. That is what drew us to him. We have and will always give him respect for his character as a brother, a father to his children, husband to sister Jenny, a person, and list goes on.
Importantly, he has fulfilled the Lord’s purpose in getting the Bride ready. Therefore his passing on as put tremendous fear of the Lord in our hearts to know, it is time for us to leave for the marriage feast. As he has told us in one of his sermons that we must put away our petty issues and get ready.
He has left the precious Word of God in teaching, preaching, and mentorship for us which we will embrace till we are called. We share all sadness, sorrow, pain and emptiness with the Francis family, friends, relatives and especially to sister Jenny.
In conclusion, we salute Brother Steven Francis as a servant to the Spoken Word.
